I need to order a fuel pump for mg G6ET and wanting to know if the "BIG POD" setup for sale on EBay is worth the extra cost over just a walbro 460 pump and fitting it to the standard setup.

Looking to make somewhere around 400-450rwkw and don't want to run a surge tank.

The EBay ad says it holds 1/3 more fuel and reduces surge on take-off is this just a gimmick???

Haven't seen those before. Interesting. Just double check it will fit in to a tank without modification, ie, cutting or drilling bla bla.

I'm not a fan of external surge tanks, so to me that's a pretty good option. Probably wouldn't hurt going a bigger pot either. Hopefully the ventrui will be correctly sized for the pump as it's common for it to become choked when the line flow is increased. Common fix is to bore it out a bit. Again, not the greatest option, but better than having a over fueled idle. If you're going to the trouble of making sure the fuel system will flow right, probably need to upgrade the regulator too.

KPM do a complete kit in a few different sizes you probably want to look in to

Yeah I've looked at KPMs systems and they look good. But was hoping to just get the Walbro pump if it's a worthwhile upgrade and also get a regulator.

I have KPM 1500cc injectors too.
