A netflix account is 11.99 a month and streams 1080p or for 14.99 you can stream their meagre selection of 4k movies.

So many movies and tv shows it'll keep you going forever.

If I want to watch a new release movie I could hire a blueray or can go to the cinema but generally stick with watching  various episodes on netflix in the evening when the kids are in bed.

I have Netflix, love it. Quality is great. Currently only pay for the 1080p streaming, but once I get an Xbox One X I'll pay for the 4K streaming. My tv is 4K but my current Xbox isn't, so no point running 4K without being able to run the audio through my amp.

Started using a 30day free trial of Stan a couple of weeks ago. Probably going to keep it and start paying for it after the trial runs out, I'm liking it. Stan has 1080p and 4K streaming options too.

I'll probably get Foxtel Now once Game of Thrones starts and they update the Xbox One app for HD content. Fark paying for SD content, that's a joke!

Disclaimer: I do have FTN NBN though...so never any buffering or problems streaming. Although, didn't really run into many issues at my previous house on ADSL 2 though. Netflix particularly is pretty good at adjusting quality based on connection.

If I want to hire or buy movies I'll tend to do it through Google Play. Can then watch them on my Xbox through the YouTube app.

Mine is opposite. I pay for 4k (includes more connections) but my smart tv is 1080p. My sound system has a netflix app though and can output 4k so I just need to get another tv and I'm set.

I forgot about hiring movies through Google. I haven't done it for years.

Netflix will work ok at speeds of 3Mbit down.

You get a free trial for a month so if you don't love it then there is no cost involved.
