CMS is the only tuna to touch the G6

Is work and honesty has always been the best. Ive had a friend who had tuned a fg xr6t manual. They misquoted him, Terrible tune and couldnt set the car up properly....

Intune, well email tunes aka ping tune... Nuff Said

Intune is all in the nickname of "PingTune"... they have been known to mail out tunes that ping... ping destroys engines... take what you want from that.

BTA talks big but has no actual results to back it up and I know of a few people who've suffered the loss of big $$ at their hands.

CMS is good because they do reliable/safe/reasonable tunes.

Autotech is good because they do whatever tune type you want and it'll drive excellent.

CV Performance if you want a race track tune. Will shred tyres :)

Anybody else in Sydney - don't even bother :)

** ^^ all of the above is from other people's experiences, not my own.

Found (I think) the thread I was thinking of - looks like it was only $11k over

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/85458-xr6-2007-bf-mk2-engine-go-boom/

No real need for you to worry about tuners yet (is the last item on your list).

Get to know your car and take in all the info you need.

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/76044-modding-your-fg-xr6-turbo/is a pretty good starting point for getting your head around what you want to look to when ready.

Reading the forums will get you a pretty good idea of people in your area with success stories (and some with disasters)

By the time it came for me to make a move towards modding I had a pretty good idea of what shop I'd be trusting to send it too - then some face time with the tuner and all was good.

Yeah that's true but my mate with the F6 is taking his to Intune so all this info could be very useful as I'd like to pass it on. I'll get to doing as much research and reading people's testimonials. Man it's a good thing this topic was brought up!

I think intune have blown a few engines - even built the cop car engine that detonated didn't they?

I think they were also sending out generic tunes via ebay which was pretty scary?

Have never dealt with either them or BTA, so am just going off the vibe I get from the forum, but there ARE ones mentioned above that have the runs on the board and thumbs up from people who are still happy with their cars and their tuners.

Take it slow - heaps of time - heaps of info to intake

Lol back to square one....

Stay away from pingtune and tell your mate to do the same. Were very serious on this recommendation..its not personal opinion like the tail lights for example..

^^ What they said.

Cool Most members here use CMS and highly recommended.

Im in Wollongong drove the hour to CMS, they're the only place I let work on my car.

Give them a call ask for Jason or Joe or if you can drop in very friendly garage.
