Spacebear New Member 12 Member For: 9y 7m 9d Posted 15/10/15 02:09 PM Share Posted 15/10/15 02:09 PM Hi all.Im saving for some performance mods for my bf xr6T.Looking at buying like a intercooler kit from plazmaman and putting it in myself.just need some help.the kit includes 1000hp LIGHTWEIGHT TUBE and FIN Intercooler - 500x400x76mm PRO SERIES core - 76mm COLD SIDE piping - Under headlight COLD AIR INTAKE and FIlter- Brackets and instructions- HOT SIDE piping kitCould I just bolt this on to my stock engine?or should I get other mods aswell like injectors,valve springs..etc.Also after installing would it be safe to drive the car with the mods installed? As I will have to get it tuned and not planning on towing it.As much info as possible would be much appreciated.Thanksimage.pngShort answer, yes you can just bolt that kit to your stock engine but you're going to reach the limit of other parts like injectors and exhaust etc before you get full potential of the plaz kitDepends whether you want to go mild, marginal or wild reallyWork out your end power goal and do a bit of research on herePlenty of build threads - start in the 300kw section if that's where you're aiming at, massive amounts of helpful info on this siteIMPORTANT - need to work out who is going to tune it and talk to them before you buy anythingSome clown on the internet can tell you anything but they're the ones who have to work with itAs far as finding a good tuner, again do your research but if you're after recommendations and you're in Sydney, can't go wrong with CMS in Prestons or Autotech in Granville, there are others but these guys have a great reputation with these carsAs far as driving to your tuner after install, will depend on what mods, eg.
