Time to change the cv's in my car so What replacement shafts are the ones that are going to work or is the genuine ford ones the only way to go ??? Are the repco cv shafts any good ????? There for an FG F6

Cheers

Depends how expensive and heavy duty you want to go? The Driveshaft shop do heavy duty 700hp and 1500hp options. They're not cheap, but they'll take a pounding! Otherwise someone else with experience on standard vs repco will chime in I'm sure.

I shattered a cv a few months back and havesince replaced both shafts with Repco ones and neither have let go yet (YET) with 400kw. Larger shaft dia and larger cv's.

As I have a mate at repco, for the price I paid for them I could replace them 10 times before they cost as much as the big hp ones.

The big hp driveshaft shop jobbies need new hubs and bearings as well (coz 30 spline (I think) hub end instead of 28) so if you're thinki g of them make sure you factor in that extra expense

I have the 1400's and they are worth it in the end both knowing that I won't require a tow truck anytime soon or the potentially of f*cking my diff.

Any updates on these? I beleive my CV shafts are starting to die. Get a weird tinging noise and occasional grind feeling coming from the back of the car.
