what is it with new cars and idiots! today I was with the family at the local super market to do the shopping. My wife is pregnant and starts feeling sick. so she goes out to the car while I finish shopping. When I finished I head out to the car to notice this camry wagon parked way to close to the passenger side of my car! my wife looks at me and points to the passenger side mirror which has been hit in against the window and has a big black mark on it. My cars white so the mark stood out. As you can imagine I saw red and was about to take some vengance back on this wagon as its happened to me before with my old car but much worse, when my wife tells me the guy is in the car. I walk calmly up to the driver window and politely ask the guy if he realised he's hit my car. He says yes but its my fault! WTF!!!. he says I have parked on the white line and he's allowed to do what he did as I'm in his park. The reason I'm like that is because the car next to me on the other side is over the line too. Then two of his three passengers start in on me! I'm usually nice and calm and polite but I don't put up with this sort of crap. abit of swearing and so on later we sort it out and he will fix it. I couldn't believe he said it was my fault! I used the analagy of what would happen if someone pulled out infront of him at 100km/h would he hit them cause he was where he should be? of course not he says. some people shouldn't be allowed to drive! Lucky for him I was able after much hard work to polish the mark out.

oh and you know what he had the cheak to say in the middle of the argument "it's only a ford" arse hole! he was about 50years old. I should have replied athat I would expect a comment like that from a teenager not an adult.

what out people these idiots are sharing the roads with you!!!!

Hey mate, I truly understand how you feel. I had the same thing happen to me sometime last year. A taxi bumped into the rear end of my baby at the lights. He then reversed and acted as if he didn't do it. Yeah right....my car with the handbrake pulled up, was pushed forward....yeah...he didn't do it....it was just a friggin strong gust of wind (gale force to be accurate)..... I got out of my car and proceeded to speak with the taxi driver. The driver kept saying it wasn't him. I told him that either he get out of the car and talk this out or I'm calling the cops. He came out and looked at the buff mark and said...."it's only a small scratch...no problem"

F**K that! What small mark? The buff mark was at least 15cm X 8cm!!!! He then hurriedly jumped back into his car and zoomed off leaving me standing there like an idiot. Of course I gave chase and caught him making an evasive manouvere (big U-turn and hiding amongst a row of waiting taxis). I parked behind him and walked up....he kept denying that he knocked into me, and said he didn't even know me at all..... Once again, he floored his taxi and sped off. Guess what next? A little argument turned into a city-wide chase. I think I gave him a realy hard time coz he was swerving in and out of traffic just to shake me off his tail (in vain of course). I think I was doing around 85-90 along King St (which is feaking fast and dangerous...not recommended). After almost 10 minutes of 'FUN' (and realising the stupidity of me giving chase), I let him off and then headed down to the St Kilda police station to lodge a report. Yes, I know...I'm a bit slow and it takes 10 minutes before reality sets in.

3 days later, we met again in the presence of a police officer and he had to agree to covering the repainting of the bumper bar. Tough luck sucker! And you know what? He drives a Commodore! Take that b**ch!

That's cruddy... that's beepin cruddy as anything!

Glad to hear Ford Insure are taking care of things, but I swear, if someone did that to my car I'd blow up!

And if I found any door marks on one of the panels, I'd drive off, park the car somewhere secluded, walk back with a certain tool I use to get my rims off the hub (a bit of a tight fit) and make sure every single panel has a "mark" in it. Revenge is sweet...

Well tonight while driving home a nice lady decided to change lanes from the right lane into the lane that I was in. Hitting the side of my car and also damaging my tyre.

Not happy at all..is an understatement my hands were shaking when it happened.. :( I cant believe she hit the side of my car. The front drivers side guard is bent and scratched, and also the tyre has this big cut in it. Just got off the phone to Ford Insure and they are looking after the whole thing. I cannot thank them enough for how helpful they were.

Looks like my car will be off the road for a little while..

Pics of the car are attached..

Bad luck cjf077. I know exactly how you feel. Almost identical thing happened when I got my brand new vx ss. Though some of you might say its a good thing someone hit a commodore :D I still wasn't happy about someone changing lanes without checking their blind spot and damaging my brand new car.

Been told by Ford Insure and the repairer this morning that they will not fix the parts but replace anything that is damaged. So im pretty happy about that. My car will be like new in no time.

Sorry to hear it mate...

If it makes you feel any better my pulsar was written off after 3 months, took NRMA 5 months to get me a new one, and I had to pay $2600 insurance again when I got the thing (even though I paid $2600 just three months before).

Well got the beast back yesterday afternoon.. it felt like going to pick up a brand new car. The repairers have done an absolutely fantastic job. Must thank Steve @ Domain Motors, Riley St Sydney for his top notch work

It felt so good to finally drive it home from work after nearly 2 weeks of the road.. it felt like a life time!
