Well tonight while driving home a nice lady decided to change lanes from the right lane into the lane that i was in. Hitting the side of my car and also damaging my tyre.

Not happy at all..is an understatement my hands were shaking when it happened.. :( I cant believe she hit the side of my car. The front drivers side guard is bent and scratched, and also the tyre has this big cut in it. Just got off the phone to Ford Insure and they are looking after the whole thing. I cannot thank them enough for how helpful they were.

Looks like my car will be off the road for a little while..

Pics of the car are attached..

Also the wheel.. Im not too sure if i should change the wheel to the spare? Ford Insure said just to drive slowly and carefully. Its like the rubber has split. It looks like i also need a wheel alignment.. and not sure if the rim is damaged or anything else.. <_<

Man - that really does suck!

Hopefully your car will be restored to new - as you bought it. And most importantly won't take long to fix.

I guess things like this can happen to anyone! <_<

And whats with the big cut on the wheel? Did she try and mount your car or something (I know they look great but...)?

Really sorry to hear about it mate. It can't hurt to change that tyre, the last thing you want is a blowout even if you are driving slow. Hope your back on the road soon!

I would have seriously "vented" once I was out of the car! Hopefully you get the gaurd replaced not just banged straight and bogged

I will make sure it gets replaced.. when i speak to the smash repairers tomorrow.

Geez Chris, sorry to hear about your bad luck.

Make sure you push to get the front guard replaced and if Ford Insure wont do that, have it at least metal finished (ie no bog). The tyre obviosly needs replacing and since its on the front l would certainly change it out with the spare.

Hope youre not off the road for too long.
