Hi guys, looking at getting my car opti coated just wondering if many have done it and what they think of it?

The car is still in excellent condition, but im getting to the end of my abilities to fix blemishes and such with hand polishing. If opti coat is as good as some say it might be the way to go rather than spending money on a machine polisher and associated bits. Thoughts?

Also anyone recommend someone to fix roof lining in Melbourne. Prefer eastern suburbs or south eastern.

Cheers

Did something like that a couple of years ago - wasn't opticoat (is meant to be better than opticoat)

Car hasn't been touched by a cloth since (only use the touch free car wash every couple of weeks)

He spent a good day and a half prepping. He went far above and beyond what he had to in getting the job done

Water still beads like it was waxed yesterday.

Wasn't cheap, but the time he put into the car getting it ready to put the "treatment" on - farck me, it was definitely value for money

If it saves you a lot of time over the next few years it might be worth it. What would you pay yourself per hour to wash your car etc

edit - damn those facebook pics are awesome. 300ZX looks baller

It's good value if you keep the car for a while. BUT if you sell it shortly after it's a waste of money hey Dan.......

^ this guy knows.

I would have previously suggested Modesta paint protection...but my detailer was actually over today and said their importer got a new manager or something and now they've hiked the price right up on the stuff, so would cost way too much now and so some of the distributors cracked the sh*ts and no longer do it.

Cheers for the replies, done a fair bit of searching but hasn't been much on opti coat. Won't be selling the car for a long while so that's not a concern, but the biggest dilemma is not being able to wax and polish it anymore. I find that enjoyable and love seeing the car all done up looking mint. Don't think I'd have that same satisfaction if I just needed a wash.
