My brother (who thinks he is handy) is recommending against tapping the housing and wants to tap into the jpipe (or whatever you call it, the first bend off the turbo hotside). My brother can weld on a bung too but a nipple in the elbow silicone joiner may be easier. I'm worried about weakening the front housing as there is no thick spot to mount it.
