Zf Gearbox Removal From Bf Typhoon

Hi all, had a quick look but couldn't find what I was after, has anyone done a tutorial or one of the awesome photo essay threads like Phil does on the removal and replacement of the zf gearbox ? I want to have a go myself but obviously this would make life a lot easier for me especially as I'll be doing it without a hoist ! Any help/advice is appreciated !

It's really a case of support the trans with a suitable jack, remove everything between it and the car and then remove. Keep it nose up so the Torque Convertor stays in place in the trans.

Make sure you got a good hold with the jack, don't want it slipping off

I used 2 jacks last time, actually the job isnt that bad at all.

Any tips on cracking the top few bolts from gearbox to the engine its self I got car on stands and its a c**t to try get to these top 2 bolts

jack up the front of the engine so that it rotates a little bit which gives you cleaner access to the top bolts.

What once I got the other bolts out already?  Sorry I dont know much todo with cars I just keen todo this my aelf n learn im replacing rear main seal.

just put one or two of the bottom bolts back in so that it stays pushed hard against the engine then do what I said in my last post

Thank you where do you recon is safe to jack the engine from and when I do this will the engine n box both rotate a little bit?   So I dont have to undo the engine mounts or anything sorry rather ask questions than ausemee n screw it
