Don't spend more money changing to an npc clutch. I have the coppermix and ceramic dual friction twin plate and it rattles and makes the gearbox sound like it's falling apart. That's just the price you pay for a strong clutch

Must be the cerametallic disc causing the noise. My old MWA/NPC twin disc (and a mates) had the nylon isolators on the intermediate plate and even though it was solid centre you wouldn't know it was a twin disc.

Im a big fan of this clutch, especially with the newer single drive hub design.

Honestly I can hear a ceramic twin plate at idle from three cars back and windows up

It's something no one likes

Bet you cant hear mine. I have the same plates as in the posted image (ceramic)

I wouldn't put 70w-75 in it. The tr6060 needs a lighter weight oil. Penrite MGO floated my boat when I still had a manual car. Seriously ring Mal and discuss with him. He's the Tremec agent.

Try dex6 its fullly syn. Mal recommend dex3 now. The old transmax Z was the best

we had a car on the dyno once that the customer had fitted his own MW Opt 5 Twin plate, it was noisy and it started slipping at 430 rwkw, he asked us to pull it apart, we found he had fitted the intermediate black backwards so only 1 clutch plate was locked but also the nylon anti rattle bushes were not making contact, we cleaned it up, refitted it correctly and it was good and quiet

In it goes. Noise still there but only when air con is on now. Shifts are smooth even at high rpm. I'll feel it out for a couple days and see if it gets any better then report back haha. god why didn't I splurge on an npc!

Cause there awesome value for money. Mine has handled 25psi for a while now and hasn't skipped a beat. That's power cruise as well with full car loads and always driving with 275 rubber. And it cops a beating.

Yeah it is g70 lol been a while since I did it so couldn't quite remember the number. But yeah just had the dex 3 with the g70 additive. The rollover noise was still there but quietened it down a little bit.
