The noise in the video is the clutch........can't comment as to why your mates car doesn't make the noise.

I find it interesting that the stock bearing has too much free play but a bush doesn't. The bearing I listed above is the way to go. Replaces the stock bearing and is a semi neat fit on the input shaft so it's fully supported.

gearbox roll over noise can be amplified with some clutches

Agree, but the noise in the video isn't roll over noise.

Ahh I see, how much are the npc clutches? Haha

Similar to what you paid for the Xtreme. Why did you go ceramic at your power level?

Quadruple post good effort haha. The grinding noise with your foot on the clutch is definetly normal the rattle when you take you foot off isn't. does it go away if you hold the revs steady at an extra 200rpm above the stock idle? Say around 800-900rpm?

I only went this clutch because my mate got it like I said and I drove his car and liked it and it wasn't too loud or anything so I just went with the exact same. The xtreme was only $1650, think it cost me about $2100 installed, got a service at the same time so that was the extra money. Wish I did more research now though

Box was not serviced but only has 13k on the clock, even the stock clutch that came out has a lot left on it. I'm aware of the normal twin plate noise when the clutch is engaged, not concerned about that.
