The grinding noise with your foot on the clutch is definetly normal the rattle when you take you foot off isn't. does it go away if you hold the revs steady at an extra 200rpm above the stock idle? The xtreme was only $1650, think it cost me about $2100 installed, got a service at the same time so that was the extra money.
