Peter,

Yes, add some racing fuel, bump the boost up to 20lb (you should easily get 380rwkw), have good slicks and trick trans, but you should really praise Vic, as he's a very skilled and experienced driver, and most of us would take a long time to master the quarter to his level of expertise.

Brian

Brian, If you read the first APS post not only did we give credit to Vic we also gave credit to Con for the final state of the engine tune. Again well done to the guys at C and V performance.:innocent: :banghead:

What is involved in the 'higher state of tune' and what is done to the auto. People will continue to ask questions while people continue to refuse to give answers.. :)

The higher state of engine tune for the APS phase III SYSTEM requires additional mapping via the UNICHIP computer to suit a higher RON unleaded fuel. This higher power level (380KW at the treads) does place greater mechanical loads on the engine. The engine should be preped to cope with the additional loads to avoid a mechanical component failure which can be expensive to repair after the event.

Best for you to speak to Con at Cand V performance on the auto mods, as it is not fair to Con for me to comment on his R and D work.

Peter, Thanks for the rev limit info.

You need to drive Brians (or Lachlans) car to comment on the way the T56 works, its a pretty quick shift (if weightier than most jap boxes). I had only used the T56 in commodores & a viper before. Honestly you would swear Brians was a totally different box.

I dont think it would be as good as a tricked auto down the 1/4 though...

Would still like to see Brian's car at the drags for a meeting or two, just to see what a manual trans car will do with approx 350KW at the treads.

:birthdaywish:

Now Brian dont go soft on us. You have mega power and the drive train to match now.......let rip and lets see what you can do, as nobody to date has run a quick manual trans xr6t down the strip. :smilielol:

Nice sight to see, nice 60ft time too :finger:

Yes the boys at Cand V have started to get the chassis working well, and the car has impressive grunt with a fast shifting auto. The right combination always produces the goods. :biggun:
