The pic I took of the citric acid GT at Autocare in Nth Laverton does seem surrounded in Holdens!!...However this yard does hold & deliver all makes, This is where all the Finnemore car transporters load to go interstate.

Yes strange about the wheels?.....I do hope they revert to the original "split" design, though,( I have a Pursuit on order )& I think regardless of liking or not, they do put a GT type of signature on the car rather then 18" XR8's?.. Also , after seeing so many pics of the Acid with stripes on the net & not being a fan...I was really surprised just how impressive the car looks in the flesh!!...It looks awesome!!

Yep l agree, even though l am not a fan of the split wheels, the wheels are one of the major differentiators on these cars. It really suprises me that the XR 18's are being fitted to the GT. l looovve the wheels on the GT-P, arent these what will be fitted to your Pursuit?

l am becoming a fan of the stripes also but it is very colour dependant. The photos of the Phantom GT with stripes looked pox, but the Acid Rush looks excellent.

The "Split" 18's are the GT & Pursuit wheels... The 7 spokers are GTP only, & have been on the Blood orange Pursuit that was last seen at Bathurst nats, for , I'm told "to promote the pursuit"....I asked & was told .."yes, if you want em" ....But $$$$...... Me thinks I am paying enuf without forking out MORE for same wheel size, tyre size, But different rim design?... I mean would it cost Ford anymore?

Re: the stripes Mondie...OK, Acidrush & black looks good...Agreed the phantom & orange is sh*t...I'd Like, maybe to see black ( silouette, or whatever they call it) with RED stripes?.... Anyhow Really doesn't concern me as stripes are NOT an option on Pursuits!... Just wish the Bloody thing would hurry up?... Another thing is ...( I'm told) Outta , 31 Pursuits on order , mine is the ONLY Blood orange!.. Spoke to a guy at Geelong today , who works at Ford geelong ( Venem ute in the pics)...He said he has seen a blood orange GT & it looks like a "Fanta bottle"!!........Oh, sh*t........what have I done?... But , I AM sticking!!! Extra week or two, who cares?...I Ordered what I consider a unique car... And it should be a pretty "QUICK" fanta bottle?

So l wonder if the split 18's are going to make an apperance, or have Ford decided not to use them?

At least you could order the 7 spokes, how much extra did they want? l say that because a few years back we were all set to buy a new TE50 ll and l desperately wanted the TS50 wheels, they look horn. l was told l couldnt have them, no way FPV would do it, exclusive to the TS blah blah. Anyhow, we ended up getting a good deal on an ex Ford TS so we bought that. But not 18 months later we got a pile of junk mail as you do, and in amongst it was a Ford spares brochure and in it you could buy the TS wheels. So now you could buy them for your Forte, but 18 months ago you couldnt have them on your FTE. Man l was pi$$ed off. Ford then proceeded to use those same wheels on some of the last Xr8's also. So much for exclusive.

Ford make cars to make money, but they need to have some integrity and consistency. Its a bit of a con to have the Pursuit going around with the GTP mags, but at least they are an option. l bet they're expensive though??

Hmmmm, I wonder if they have dropped the original split rim?... Agreed the 7 spoke looks horn!..... Really, for 60 odd ,big ones , I should be able to get whatever rims I want?.......Or give it to me on the discs, Knock $4000 off, & I'll go Advanti 19's or ROH Furys!!

l would check into it, especially if you are going to end up with the XR 18's. Dont get me wrong, l love the 18's, we optioned them, but l think a $60k ute should have something a bit more unique. Like the GT-P 18's ;)
