I recently bought a Falcon BF 2007 Turbo and realized that the Rear Diff is dead. If changing the gear from Park to Reverse or any gear except neutral it can create a continuous clunking sound and it is not running at all. Is there any chance to change the diff with different ratio because the ratio of the dead diff was 3.23 LSD.

Is there any difference between turbo diff to non-turbo diff?.

what is the better diff ratio for just daily driving?

Can I use any diffs from any ford falcon?.

Thank you in advance in helping a newbie.

When you say "not running at all", do you mean car is stationery?

If you have the car in gear with foot on brake the diff should not be making a continuous clunking sound.

Sounds more gearbox related to me, flex-plate possibly.

But the rod connecting the gearbox to the diff is moving.

The clunking sound came from the rear it is like world war III is going inside the diff..

I would just like to know if its possible to change the diff ratio and change the whole diff? What are the best diff for this type of care?.

Please help me..

My Car

BA MK2 Turbo, 2005, 6 speed manual.

I just checked the info stored in the PCM of my Car...

This is what I got re the Diff Ratio: http://s13.postimg.org/lt6kilit3/Diff_Ratio_2.jpg

You will have to replace your Diff with the same ratio of ( 3.23 )... Or you will / may get problems with your PCM getting wrong information from sensors... ABS and Speedo.

I'm pretty certain the ZF auto diff ratio is 2.73:1, and you can't change it (perhaps possible with a ZF tune but not sure)

you should make sure its the diff before you change it.
