Bigfoot New Member 13 Member For: 10y 4m 4d Posted 21/08/15 12:12 AM Share Posted 21/08/15 12:12 AM Hey guys,I recently replaced my front brakes on my BA MKII XR6T ute to RDA 322mm rotors and redstuff pads.I was getting a lot of shudder before hand (think the rotors were pretty thin and warped) but after the replacement they were fine..for a while. It appears I may have put a slight split in the passengers side line (don't know how) and now the brakes don't feel good at all.Anyway, the plan was always to get braided hoses so now seems like the ideal time. Just wanted to see if anybody has used these before?I like the price and the fact that they are ready to fit, I just wouldn't mind some feedback or opinions from people who know more than me.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon-BA-Ute-Wagon-XR6-T-XR8-brake-upgrade-SAFEBRAKE-Performance-Hoses-/170765940974?hash=item27c27178eeCheers Guys

Just make sure you order the correct ones as you now have 322mm up from 298mm. Edited 21/08/15 12:45 AM by arronm

I wasn't aware there would be a difference.Which ones would be the correct ones to order then? Will the hose really need to longer than that kit just for a few mm?Cheers. I went with Matt @ Race Brakes Sydney for a set of their lines. They use Goodridge braided lines (which are apparently slightly better for performance use? I.e. track)...but I only bought them cause he's a good guy and managed to come pretty close in terms of price.Either way, message the seller and tell them you have done the caliper swap and they should be able to sell you correct part. I don't have a BA/BF....but I assume the hose will be slightly longer, due to the larger caliper bracket?....and I would guess he would just sell you a BF XR6T front braided line I.e. this kit http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon-BF-Sedan-XR6T-XR8-brake-upgrades-SAFEBRAKE-Performance-Hoses-/180798711557?hash=item2a18716705 BUT CONFIRM WITH SELLER BEFORE TAKING MY ADVICE Do you have an exhaust or loud car? I found my RDA rotors would make a grinding/scraping noise when you are near buildings, tunnels or freeway barriers (anywhere where the noise can reverb off a wall). I have a stock car and it used to sh*t me....got DBA t3/t2 combo and now noise free lol Sometimes you're lucky and get no noise, so see how you go...

Is it from the small metal clips that the pads sit in, rubbing against the top of the disk?Either way it is the worst.

Like the singular thick slots scrape against the pad and theres nothing you can do.Seems like the only people who notice it are ones with stock exhausts lol It sh*t me so bad that I had to buy DBA discs felt a little embarrassed when I'd drive past buildings and every bloke was looking at my car for the wrong reasons.Hopefully you can fix it?....or just buy a catback to drown out the noise hahaha

Cheap and nasties that warp at the first sign of heat. Really no better then the factory gear.
