So I bought a 2012 XR6T with luxury pack last November and love it, the only thing that is a little annoying is that the sat nav is a bit out of date as far as roads and speed limits goes for here in WA.
I did a search but didn't find anything relevant! Is there any way of updating the maps other than going to a Ford Dealer and being raped $200 plus for an updated map :help:

Get a secondhand TomTom 730 or 930 from somewhere and get me to set it up. Mine has all sorts of alerts whenever I get near fixed-location speed cameras.

Thanks for the offer mate, TBH I'm not THAT fussed to bother with getting a separate GPS as I don't drive all over the place like you so don't actually use it much anyway :ermm:

Just was amazed that something that is installed in the factory like this and changes that often and is from looking at the manual a 5 min job to do then costs that stupid amount of money to keep current :wild: If it was reasonable cost I could understand it ie $40-50 but $200+ that is taking the piss :rant2:

I can always use Google maps on my phone if need be as that is kept up to date automatically, the in car GPS does have alerts for fixed speed cameras but obviously not all the latest ones!

Although I have been looking at getting a Garmin Zumo for the bike for a while so may just save the pennies and get that if I really need it and it'll work both on the bike and in the car :dancing:

EDIT: Still can't seem to see why quotes aren't working or why I can't copy and past stuff into a post? Sort of makes things seem less broken on PSB in comparison :horse:

@ Ralph Wiggum - Posting with IE11 on W7 desktop PC, also noticed only certain smileys will attach to a post when clicked on (can type in manually though as in the horse flog above), just trying a few things and it appears I can't change font/size/colour either!

Also tried attaching a pic using the image editor button and it didn't attach and locked everything up and I had to refresh the window!

Can attach a pic from my computer though using the file attachment below though so it has me perplexed what is going on :stupid:

Ie7 is the issue.

Weird it is suddenly allowing quotes :ermm: I'm not on Internet Explorer 7 I'm on Windows 7 Professional running IE 11 (the current version).

Is it possibly a posting # issue ie I need over 10 posts as this is post 12 now :ermm:

Confusing as hell, nothing in the terms and conditions or anything about a restriction! <This last bit is cut and paste from a Word Doc which is working now along with colour, size and fonts :wwww:lrs-42528b_5002.jpg

Insertion of pics is working now as well :pandalol:

was there by any chance any new news on the Sat Nav map updates?

I know behind it all is iGo and the MKII doesn't have an SD card, you have to update VIA the USB port in the center console.

I have downloaded the maps off the car to USB, but am currently struggling to get any new updated map files back on the car.
