Knock retard had all but been disabled, with total timing influence taken down to 1deg I mean why do people do that!! Jesus... Keen to get some help from all you guys experience, as well as from the HP Tuners forums. If I can say one thing, it'll be great to finally take control of how the car drives into my own hands and not rely on any shop to give me some "hacked up factory tune that disables everything good" tune. Cheers, Rob Just be a bit careful here as it is possible that HP Tuners may have mapped Injector offset incorrectly. It would not be the first time they had injector data wrong. If you want you can send me the tune and I can check it is mapped correctly. 2 hours ago, IH8TOADS said: This is the third workshop I have read about getting scrutinized publically in the last few weeks by you guys. It is all very well to say a good tuning shop did this but to actually narrow it down is harsh especially when something like HPT is missing quite a lot of the tables and scalars these tuners use. It's only defamation if it's not true. It's perfectly legal to post the tuners details and explain why it is not up to standard. If what Jet said is true about the knock sensors and the injector scaling then they should be outed. Hell I still have video evidence of a certain workshop in gawler flogging my car and breaking the the speed limit. People have to grow a pair and take responsibility for their mistakes. Ffs smh.

Maybe but you should at least know that you fully understand what the tuner did. If the tuner used something like Sniper or SCT (or built on a tune by ones of these products) then you will not have the all information in HPT. Maybe being "outed" was too harsh a term. Discussed with other enthusiasts is acceptable in my book, despite perhaps not in line with forum policy. It is glaringly obvious when the issues mentioned are present though. Here is a few pics for readers that don't have tuning knowledge to see what we're talking about. These are only an example made by me and not the actual tune in question. Stock injector offset Zero injector offset Stock knock retard 1 degree allowed retard Edited 21/11/16 02:20 AM by Puffwagon Added second paragraph. DarrylC Member 51 Member For: 11y 11m 9d Posted 21/11/16 02:23 AM Share Posted 21/11/16 02:23 AM (edited) Maybe but if that table is mapped incorrectly then you are looking at the wrong data and publicising it based on incorrect information. Was the stock injector offset from the same calibration? HPT does not have the Global Spark Adder plus a whole heap of other stuff so who knows what the final result will be. 1 degree may be on the money with the addition of these other parameters. I just opened a stock tune and changed the numbers to 0 and 1 to show the example. From here it would only be speculation to take this further. I guess it's up to @JETURBO or @demon1300 to clarify matters.

What infact can look wrong , in combination with other parameters can be correct. Things that seem wrong may be fine for different reasons that you arnt aware about. And people must realize anytime injectors , pumps, regs , even actuator spring and rod length changes the car MUST be either checked on the dyno or retuned. Just my 2c worth.
