Got my HpTuner from the states today. Cost $667 on my credit card delivered from the US in one week by FedEX. Pretty good I thought.

All the software loaded good and read my SCT tune in my car no problem.

Its good to see what was in my tune. Things like CAT control stuff disabled and my Torque Module Switch disabled so I guess this mean no torque control for the trans?? and the wastegate table is set to around 105kpa.

My Nispro Injector settings are

Flow low 70.75812

Flo High 80.50541

Breakpoint 0.00001480 lb

PW min 0.00095 sec

Offsets

6 3.51

7 2.63

8 2.01

9 1.62

10 1.36

11 1.14

12 1.00

13 0.8600

14 0.7600

15 0.7100

If anyone has a stock 09 G6ET file on HPTuners it would be appreciated if it was emailed. Whilst I have one in my SCT it would save me some time swapping tunes to download it.

I just want to do a compare tune thingo.

I think we need to start a tune database with tune and list of mods. IMO there is no harm in sharing modified tunes. Its actually should help guys NOT blowing up their engine as they have a better idea of what areas need to be changed.

A few stock tunes uploaded is fine but I don't agree with making custom tunes public. Guys rely on their knowledge to feed their families. You shouldn't be uploading their tunes for every Tom dick and Harry to see.

Sharing tunes will benefit the Falcon Turbo community and the industry as a whole. The more guys who play with their car means more performance parts sold and more work for the industry, not less. Restricting information hinders the industry. There will be winners and there will be losers. I expect HPTuners Aussie tuning software to be a winner from sharing these tunes and getting more guys to buy the HpTuners software. More chance of the transmission side of things to get done. I support the fact that their tuning software is freely available and will be sharing whatever knowledge and data I have with whomever wishes to learn.

I will be loading my tune up onto the Tuning Repository at HPtuners and suggest anyone with HPTuners do the same.

Typical tune Trana. Is it a forum sponsor or can I rip it lol?

I will load it on the HPTuners tune repository.

Some of the guys who tune as a living, who charge for their expertise, probably don't want what they put all their effort into out there for anyone to just grab.

I'm sure they are willing to help with others tunes in every way by offering advice and what not, but it's sort of like a magician not revealing his tricks, Some tuners are worlds apart because they know/do things differently. By putting that out there for anyone to see/grab reduces the likelihood that new customers will visit them since they may aswell do it themselves.

I think that's what the general feeling would be towards it anyways.

Cheers
