Cheers Mercturbo, already racked up a $400 legal bill. I will lose in court as I will plead guilty, my only beef is that why should I have to be victimised because some copper having a bad day says so. I am throwing money at a principle here, I want the same $50 fine everybody else gets, even if it costs me 2 or 3 thousand to get it.

And mate, yeah the GT has lighted window switches (plain white I think) and the provisions are there for the footwell lights, you just gotta go to the gas station and buy $1.90 worth of wedge bulbs.

Also went to supercheap on Saturday and replaced the 55/60 headlight bulbs for 90/130 man does that make a difference for night driving, cost $39.95. How is your patience holding up?, are the days dragging like weeks?Do you have a picture of your new steed constantly trying to invade your headspace?

I'm meeting Redhawk at the exhaust shop in the morning so he can drive my car to check out the sound with a new non crossed header pipe and a couple of hotdogs where the centre muffler used to be, just a nice and angry roar when you up it and the low down power (up to 3000rpm) improves significantly).

Let me tell you, it is well worth the wait. I had a deposit down for a series 2 turbo, then had my GT steering wheel fitted today, and the order changed for a Typhoon, expected Oct. Nobody knows the new colours or exact specs (I'm trying for Lightening Strike) and for those who are wondering, an auto will be just shy of or just over sixty grand drive away

So you say your having a Typhoon as well as GT, how jealous do you want me/us to get!! Anyway, putting the larger wattage globes in your headlights, can they handle the heat, have you checked the manual? What are the exhaust mods costing you? How's the GT going, any probs? Owna I am a law abiding citizen, maybe 99% is a bit on the steep side, but than again so is 50% lets settle for 80%. The better half just rang me to say she has signed for a SUMMONS, da da da da.

Mercturbo, the brighter lights idea came from Scott52, and all you get is much better night vision, the FPV mechanic at Titan Ford said they will not be a problem. Got the GT wheel fitted yesterday and it transforms the car.

I just spent the morning with Redhawk and he had his exhaust done as per mine and is very pleased with the note, he went stainless I went mild, both cars have twin chrome tips and Al agreed a bit more power down low, and the note is urgent but not too loud or cop bait, but in the Perth tunnel (no cameras in there YET) at 4000 rpm in 3rd with the drivers window down man what a note.

The system is a bolt in twin 2.5inch Mandrel bent (MANTA) centre with twin hotdogs.

Cost $360 mild steel, $600 stainless, rear chromes $80 supplied and fitted, they have to do a couple of little mods once they cut the standard chrome shoebox off.

Only probs with the car so far.

1. Annoying rattle from under the rear parcel tray.

2. Slight Oil leak from the diff cover

3. Noisey air cond compressor (whistles)

4. Noisey power steering pump (groaning) but this happens mostly on initial startup then evens out.

5. Everybody gawks, a lot of youthful twits and Expensive Daewoo drivers think they have some point to prove.

6. There are only 24 hours in a day. 4 to work, 8 to sleep, 4 to buggerise about and only eight to drive.

But in all seriousness you will find that it is well worth the wait, at least you can take some solace in the fact that FMC have 10K of my moolah and I have to wait 8 bloody months for the Typhoon, that's gonna be a machine worth having.

Redhawk took a couple of pics of the 2 cars this morning and is going to start a defectors thread this afternoon

Yeah mate BOTH. Guess I should be used to the GT by Oct-Nov so a new toy will be good to play with. 280+kW turbo with FPV mods will be an awesome car. Rumour is no speed limiter, decent brakes, more solid chassi, uprated suspension, and the one IMPORTANT THING. This baby will accelerate like a cut snake. that's the one negative about the GT (at least in a manual) if you drop the clutch above 2000rpm you lose half to a full second in wheelspin. My Typhoon is gonna be an Auto. I do miss the grab and go of the auto T.

If you do decide to do the Nullabor run you are most welcome

I will be able to sit in the double lock up, sipping Corona and have 2 to contemplate. I loved my T even for the greif it caused me, and I reckon once FPV have put the Baygon through the car to kill the series one bugs and transformed it into the Typhoon, it will be awesome. Just gotta figure out what property to sell, and exactly how to let the better half know. I might go with the old "It is easier to ask forgiveness than what it is to seek permission" routine. I can't believe she's so bloody happy with a Focus Zetec, I think she figures I've gone Ford ga ga and become like some of my Patients. Mate if the wait is getting too much for you I could always send you a script for some 150mg Stellazine or some Endone, take either one of them and you won't wake up for at least 2 days.

OOPs, Hawkey I forgot to mention the side effects.

1 lane becomes 2, all colours blurr, speech is completely reduced to slurring, and the retina loses colour reception, this goes on for at least 3 weeks after you wake up.

You're starting to worry me! You need to check your prescribing info on stelazine. You misspelt it in a post a month or two ago and now again another original spelling! But, then again, if your handwriting is bad enough, no-one will ever notice!

Also 150mg would be a (probably) fatal overdose - comes in 1, 2 and 5mg tabs.

Suggest you stick to the hypnosis and leave the prescribing to the obsessive compulsives or wait until you come down from all the GT/Typhoon-induced excitement.
