Turbosmart actuators are an art to set up

Done many of them but it's miles away from a traditional actuator ;)

To reduce the B/S use a genuine adjustable Garrett 11.9psi actuator from MTQ set up like a normal one ( 1/2 hole pre load )

The garrett 11.8 will have a sticker on it and the P.N. will end with a 7 and half hole is what I set mine at

Got the actuator off part number ended in -17 and had another one that ended in -7, both Garrett items.... On my bench they both opened at 15psi but the -17 was far smoother and had a much longer stroke, the spare -7 I had kind of didn't creep just sprung out suddenly like it was sticky and then didn't really open much

So I put the -17 back on

Adjusted the pac performance "bolt on" bracket for a more direct action - was also there -7 actuator that was rubbish

Then got some guidance from the legend that is wombat bellend and made the port on the housing even larger and smoothed out all the inner radius, stripped another exhaust stud once everything was together on retorque

Pulled it all back off - sump to oil return gasket tore

Ford had just closed

Autobahnzzz, super cheap and repco and auto one spare parts people all looking at me like an alien when asking for the gasket I needed

Bought some gasket paper and made my own

Heli coil in the head

Put together

Drove to autobahn

Bought sausage at sausage sizzle

Bought boost gauge

Installed in car park aka hose from engine bay through bonnet, routed through window into cab and gauge sitting in lap

200km /h in 4th on private road boost gauge in one hand

No over boosting

Thank you bellend

Dyno tomorrow
