Iv just come from your situation mate and went from a 98 setup and then maxed out the single 044 on E85..

We make similar power on 98 (385kw for me) so we will be ballpark on E85 too..

Iv bought (today, its in an overnight bag) the Pierburg Bagatti Veyron Pump as an upgrade for my 044 as was on the limit and I want to play it safe without having to start again and change whole setup.. pn 7.00228.51.0

and got it delivered from QuickBitz for $297 - its cheapest retail I could find anywhere...

It outflows an 044 and is e85 compatible unlike the 044 which comes with a 500hr rating on e85..

It sounds like your not keen to do a reg n rail setup and keep it cheap and simple like I also am..

my single 044 made 456KW and it was left there but with only 18psi on e85..

The new pump should see me able to increase this 1-2psi and still be a safe tune and im expecting around the 470kw mark.. which is ok for me for now..

IF u want more than this id fork out the extra now and futureproof it for 500+kw on e85 BUT rail, reg and 1000+hp pump etc is gunna be easy $1k+ from where u are now..

SO if I can offer any advice id do it like this ..

and before the flamage anyone YES im a cheapskate but ya dont have to always spend a fortune to get results..

Pierburg Pump - $300

Downsize your intank to a 255lph e85 compatible pump used merely as lift pump as Skidz also suggested ^^ - $100

AND a simple blueprinted drop in 4bar reg as the boys say above its necessary as return hole size is almost doubled and allows more return flow to lower base fuel pressure - eBay - $60

Change fuel filter to 10micron e85 compatible cleanable unit.. $100

I also changed all my engine to surge lines to what my hose guy calls coastguard fuel line which is e85 compatible and is like - $6-7 a meter.. think I used 2m of 5/16" and 1/2m of 1/2" - $20

SO for $600 give or take iv no doubt u can make around 470ish KW on e85 and be sweet..

sell your 044 and your 400lph for $150 for both and your well under $500..

I ended up going the KPM MOTORSPORT intank 1000hp pump

And will sell my 400lph intank pump and Plazmaman surge tank so the KPM item once all said and done would have cost me about $800

And the good think

Is I get rid of a 044 buzzing away under the

Passenger floor LOL .... Thanks for the info I didn't see your post till just now or maybe I would have done it that way but the KPM is already in my hands

pn 7.00228.51.0 or e3lm is not a Veyron pump, it does not support 1000hp, below is its flow chart.

The veyron uses the e5lm which is a brushless pump that requires a controller.

Not bagging the smaller pump but not sure if only one pump will suffice for e85 and over 450rwkw

Im only going off the marketing some of the sellers use mate.. Bugatti "style" etc im sure is more applicable..

The Veyrons also use 2 of them too so I read before..

BUT the link u provided does not have anywhere near the flow of mine going off the chart and also looks a bit different too :/

All charts I have for mine is 300lph @ 5bar and the one u provided is less than 250.. ?

Veyrons use the bigger e5lm's, and you are correct, they use 2 in the standard Veyron and 4 in the super sport.

I was doing a bit of research on these for a friend due to them being very quiet and came across mixed flow charts but most of them were similar to the link in my previous post.

Here is another one that shows HP/KW rating, note that they are quoting Engine figures:

https://www.efihardware.com/products/1165/EFI-pump-German-Pierberg

If it's working for you and your afr's aren't leaning out then that's all that matters, they do look like a good pump and they can be found in a lot of AMG's and Audi's.

You also need to consider that at your boost level you are over 5 bar of pressure.

Yeah for sure I was just using that figure as a reference that all the manufacturers use as a direct comparison for flow at 72.5psi..

And they dont bloody miss ya at EFI do they wanting $495 + postage :/ hmmmm.

That chart looks a bit whakky too saying they will only support 320rwhp on decent boost on e85..

As iv already made near 2x that with an 044 I cant really use that as any evidence as what they flow..

My buddy who runs a Benz service shop swears by them and in all the 55s and 600s etc hes worked on he said he has NEVER seen 1 sh*t itself which is saying something as there are plenty of other things that they have go wrong with them lol
