Guys,

Just helped a mate buy a Falcon wagon with a 2010 build VIN plate. The outside of the car looks BF as does the dashboard and ICC. How does Ford ID this car? Is it an FG or a BF? Looks like an orphan sold alongside the Territory.

It has factory gas so I expected Eco LPI but it appears to have less than liquid injected gas. Seems to be a throttle body gas set-up. Is it vapour injection?

Any known issues with these cars? Rear end bushes comes to mind. Anything else?

Found a story on The Motor Report entitled Ford Axes the Falcon Wagon. It runs the older gas fuel technology and the 4 speed auto.

PS: Checked out the Woolies Insurance advertised on this web site. Pity they don't insure XR6 turbos!

Yep, there was no FG wagon so they made a BFIII. Was identical to the BFII, except for change in the carpet colour and a few very minor cosmetic things.

From the 2002 BA wagon to the 2010 BFIII there were very, very few changes.

Ford stopped making Falcon wagons in September, 2010.

Very solid, reliable car. The diffs are crap and don't last long enough - replace with an AU wagon/ute diff when required (get an LSD one). Just got to relocate one of the handbrake brackets.

Chuck a turbo engine in it

Saw a turbo wagon at one of the performance places in Malaga a few weeks ago.

Damn shame there was never an FPV F6 wagon.
