Turbo Pipe Kit Question

So I have a question with regards to piping.

My car came with a stage 1 tuning package from XFT, which included regapped spark plugs, cooler thermostat, I.D 1000 injectors and K&N air filter. So I have a nice base to start from, I'll be relocating the battery to the boot as part of a stereo upgrade later in the year, which frees up some engine bay space.

Now one of the first things I've seen people say, is to replace the standard piping, with a kit, such as this Herrord one: http://www.herrodmotorsport.com.au/HerrodPerformanceProducts/EngineComponents/FGTurboPipeKit/tabid/291/Default.aspx

Bearing in mind I'll be ordering the Process West Stage 3 intercooler on the current group buy: http://www.processwest.com.au/products/ford/fg-products/stage-3-intercooler

I'll get the sports cover too, if it allows more air in, as I definitely want to take the car to WAW in Kwinana a few times to see how it goes.

Now some may ask why the Streetfighter and too be honest, I'm not a big fan of some of the other race airboxes, that live on the drivers side and I feel the SteetFighter looks stealthier, if the cops pull me over. I've got a few friends that are cops and whilst they probably wouldn't notice the Streetfighter unit much, they would definitely notice somthing like the Process West unit

Now my question is, does the piping in the Process West kit replace the piping in the Herrod kit or is it a smart idea to get the Herrod kit still or am I totally missing the point of the Herrod kit and it replaces other piping altogether?

Thanks.

huh? Herrod link is STANDARD piping kit made of metal (2.5" hot and cold side).

PW stage 3 cooler - if buying whole kit, then comes with piping to replace OEM cooler piping. (2.75" hot side and 3" cold side I think).

So if you are buying whole PW cooler kit, then there is no need to buy herrod piping kit.

^^^ WHS.... +1 for turbo side....as a semi wise guy said once "turbo side is 60% louder than standard passenger side intake" (plus slightly better gains when tuning)

What they said.

Only thing I have is and recommend to the KPM Air Intake. I got one and like I better than turbo side. You still notice its louder than the standard air box and you sure can hear the KPM system sucking in the air.

Also can never go wrong with process west coolers. I have stage 1 step.

Any (BIG) cooler is a defect because you have to give the car a trim to fit it in. One of the fourm members (stigmata) has started to make massive stepped coolers that do not require cutting and will compete with the (BIG) coolers. Nice looking bit of kit. Just keep that in mind. ;)
