Any1 running no Cat in their B series turbs or F6?

ive pinpointed my powerloss due to a dent in my Caback ( pretty certain) so I need to replace it.

options are to get a high flow cat in replace or considering removing it all together because its cheaper ( im selling the car shortly and don't want to spend money on it)

How do they sound?

DO they need a tune for either of the above options?

Could I have issues with removing the cat with the computer not liking it and cutting boost?

thanks

Firstly no cat is illegal and hefty fines apply from EPA if caught.

Will need a tune if cat is gutted or removed.

BTW I wouldn't by your car

Taking the cat out will cause over boost issues without a tune and is illegal like buff said. Mind you I don't think a high flow cat will pass emissions either so meh. Some people just gut it so its not so obvious to the po po

Yeah I know its not legal but dont want to chuck more cash a car that im parting from.

Was mainly concerned with the sound of no cat...

More than happy with my quad 2.5 system now though

Hi Flow CAT mate nothing worst driving around trying to sound like look at me im 18 and have no money mod car.

Look at performance mods, ones that will save you money in the future as you do more mods.

Had a sudden powerloss over the past few weeks...took it in...got sensors and some switches fixed up...was running insanely good for a week or so...now gone back to what it was previously...

not 100% sure it is the Dented Cat converter...but signs point to that it is.

Needs to be changed if it is the case

For a couple of hundred dollars you might as well get an aftermarket high flow cat...(drive in, drive out, roughly $250 to $350 depending on the cat from my experience)...

Though getting a high flow cat also means you will have to get a tune, which means more dollars there too...

Maybe try and find a stock cat from the wreckers...but from what I have seen, genuine cats from the wreckers cost as much as after market high flow cats...but at least you won't need to get a tune...(I'm assuming the whole purpose is to spend as little as possible on the car...)

I would punch the cnt out but that's me! Anyway...why not try any of your local mechanics or tuning shops as they will have piles of exhausts out the back in a bin...Buy them a carton or less for the complete mid section with cat and be done with it!!!
