Dont on say "overboost" on the falcon, pretty sure its still based around 95 and has no scope to take 98 into account.

Had a lot more go than I expected when I put my foot down! Thing just felt super composed, smooth and over all confidence inspiring. Comfortable, quiet and the DSG gearbox was goooooooooooooooood! Yeah I drove a DSG Golf R and it was bloody quick and talk about grip! I have a mate with a modded MK7 GTI and he loves it. I would not feel left out buying the R over the RS however the RS pedigree is always going to be the attraction.

Its a car designed to be stupid. Its still a H Pattern Manual, It has Drift Mode. its a fun car designed from the begining to be fun and fast. The golf while a great car is still just a golf. A quick one none the less but its not exciting, Its not stupid. And yes ive driven one

The Golf's are great cars in their own rights, just depends what you're chasing with the car. If you want the fun car that's probably more engaging and on the edge a bit more then the RS is the way to go. If you want one that's a little more comfortable and better day-to-day, then the Golf is probably the way to go. I liked the Golf, I thought it was something I could easily live with day-to-day. I'd love to take an RS for a punt though!

RS will be like the ST after a few glass BBQ's

I think it will be really hard to decide when I look for my next car....both sprint models excite me, but I'd probs go a XR8 if I keep my FG...maybe we can be a 3 car family (FG XR6T, XR8 Sprint and Focus RS)...one can dream right? lol
