Hey guys,

Am thinking of grabbing a set of Michellin PSS's 245/35/19's to replace my Innvo's (tax time - better to buy now than in another month)

Any thoughts on these?

I have them on the back of mine in a 275 profile. Much better than invos but not perfect. They require a lot of heat to perform, wet weather performance is poor. There have been reports of blow outs due to soft sidewalls.

Personally I think goodear f1a2 are better - had them on the back before. These days everone raves about the r888, although I have not yried them

PSS are awesome! Grip like a 200 tread wear but last like a 300. Comes stock on the ferrari 458, Audi r8s and other high end cars. Great tyre, actually really good in the wet but just pipped by the good years. I've found what pressure you run them at dictates the grip a lot too. But definitely grip up even more when the weather is warm, did pretty well at a track day

Don't compare to r888 which is a semi slick and will be terrible in the wet and will not last that long.

I've had two sets of PSS, and on the PS3s now just because I couldn't get the PSS at a good price but so far they have been good too.

Any tyre can blow out, do as I've seen some ppl do which is run the good years up front for their wet grip and run the PSS on the rear for traction, best of both worlds then.

Yeah tyres are a very personal choice....so many brands, etc.

I personally so far have had best experiences with Goodyear (also had directional 5's)....I think most of the decent brands should perform close to each other.

I just try to get a decent brand at a decent price with a newish manufacture build.

The PSS wins by more in the dry then the as2 does in the wet but the as2s are cheaper I've seen.

See here for some reviews, PSS consistently rates higher than the as2, also there are other good options too, like ptr_nitro said see what you can get them for as well when making you decision. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Michelin/Pilot-Super-Sport.htm

Good luck!

I've just ordered a set of kumho ps91s, it will be interesting to see how they measure up. Still on the factory Dunlop sport max which seem to let go really easy on fairly light throttle inputs.
