I know this question has probably been asked, but I always seem to find results for a sedan.

But for a ute, which is the better muffler to remove, center or end?

Anyone have any photos of the result?

I am handy with a welder and wanna see what I am in for, some people say it's done with a Y piece for the center

Cheers

I removed the rear on my standard exhaust and again on my xforce system.

Results on the standard exhaust where ok, sounded good but not overly loud

Results on the xforce where great, sounds is much louder and has a great note to it.

Hey Guys,

I have an FG XR6 Turbo... the stock exhaust noise is really disappointing imo.. even the sedan's are much nicer.

I am not after a cat-back custom exhaust big sound... something very close to stock sound... but just a little more roar or note under acceleration if that makes sense!!

Question is.... what people think the options are for achieving a result like this.... is replacing the stock cat with a hiflow cat going to help?...

Cheers

Does sound better with high flow cat but let's be honest they're not great sounding cars.

Cos they don't rev high they always just sound like they're plodding along. I've heard a few different xr6t exhausts on a track day and on a couple of cruises and none really sounded great.

Best sound is with screamer pipe
