Most aftermarket speakers, splits especially, are designed to run higher power levels...so running them off the stock ICC will be less than ideal. Wouldn't take much to improve on the sound of the factory Ford speakers though...maybe something like these Hertz speakers:http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/car-audio-coaxial-energy-ecx100_5/

Recently put a set of Hertz MLK 1650.3 splits in running off a Hertz HDP4 digital amp and Alpine head unit, with a couple of Hertz HX300 12" subs running off a Hertz HDP1 monobloc digital amp into my car...can't believe I've survived this long without a good stereo! If you can afford it and enjoy tunes I can't recommend highly enough you look into a separate head unit, amp and decent splits. Makes the world of difference! It makes me happy in the pants...

I run an aftermarket HU as well which is the next step (kinda easy) but speakers alone would be cheap and quick! Then you can pump your fave tracks and not have them sound like they are on the other side of a leather tarp. Should improve to only plastic, hahaha.Doof doof doof. Which is the best dance music track, and why is it Darude - Sandstorm?
