John Bowe Performance Ap Racing Brakes

I don't suppose anyone here owns or know someone who owns one of these kits, they are a silver AP racing brake set up with red writing sold by some Ford dealers and after market parts retailers as a brake upgrade for BA and BF falcons about 5 or so years ago, 4 pots front and rear (they are a phenominal setup). The 315mm rear rotors are now obsolete (DBA42111's) and I'm trying to get a few names together to go through a Sydney supplier to get a small ish batch produced by DBA. If you know of anyone can you please kindly pass my email address on  obviously the more people I can get in on this the better the price will be... personally I'll be buying a new pair plus atleast 2 spares the retailer is on board and has approached DBA and is awaiting a formal reply but I'm sure they will have a minimum number required to make the order viable

The normal AP racing kit is 330mm. I recon that's what you'll have.

Pics of front and rear calipers? I'm curious. Though I'm not sure you'd get a new B series 5 years ago - did they offer them for used cars?

Edit - a custom disc size seems odd, have you already tried looking for another car that runs the same type of caliper?

Id be looking at options to move the caliper out 15mm to suit the 330mm rotor rather than oddball one off rotors.

Didn't know you could do that. Worst case scenario the inside of the rotor doesn't get touched by the pad?

Yes they were offered as an aftermarket kit on used cars aswell I bought mine in 2008 from somewere in sydney. As for the 330mm rotors. I've already explored this idea but the 330mm rotors from what I've found are a thicker rotor from memory they were 26mm as opposed to the 18mm there is just physically not enough room unless you run used brake pads that are almost worn out.. from memory their wasnt much extra room with the pads and rotor when they were new let alone another 8mm. I thought about getting 4000 series as normally fitted to the premium setup but then you run into the custom brake parts problem with it no longer being part of the designed kit and the 303mm rotors are only 16mm thick new with that being the minimum on thickness on the current setup. I'm still trying to come up with a more viable option but unfortunatly I think that's the best option I've got so far I've looked at getting rotors custom made but then your not getting the same quality you get with dba.. If anyone else has any ideas I'm more than willing to listen. Surely their was a few hundred of these kits produced their must be people out there with the same problem currently.

Can you find out if those AP Racing calipers were used on any other car around the world? Surely they were not custom made by AP Racing in a tiny batch ($$$) with odd sizes, sounds like you're running out of options though. How much were they as an option at the time?

I payed about 3000 but when they first came out they were about $5000. Their is plenty of 315mm rotors out there. BUT they all have different offsets hand break sizes and heights the closest ones I've found are wrx rear they are just too tall for the application. They are about 80mm tall and the ones I need are about 51mm tall it would just be dangerous to try and spacer that out

Another idea.

On the XU1 Torana, they used a spacer in the caliper to make the caliper wider allowing thicker disks.

Is that possible your caliper? Can it be split and have a spacer added?

Then a different/thicker/currently available disk might work.
