That's not what he said, if those 2 engines were making the same power at the same rpm the maths tells us they have to be making the same torque

ok so only the same type off engine ? but I thought torque is low down power ,nothing to do with up higher rpm ?

Forget the type of engine.

No, you will make more power down low the more torque you make down low, once rpm is up it becomes the more significant multiplier, look at the calculation again.

This is just my understanding anyway

ok , just hear what I am saying (I will be wrong again as always ) but my turbo was very lagy down low (found out that the turbo builder accidently fitted the wrong wheel ) so what I am getting at small turbo v big turbo , same 300 kw . do they have the same torque ? I am a simple minded person so please explain

Barnz is spot on, engine variety, size etc it does not matter when comparing same numbers at same rpm

ok so why is the smaller turbo faster of the line with the same kw ? or am I wrong to say that .

because it has more boost at a lower rpm, so the torque and power is higher at that lower rpm

Also turbo lag affects the feeling it gives the driver, not the overall power and torque that the engine can make
