Never been in a falcon with XA's in, but I rated my Shockworks over the Teins for the street. Edited 08/06/15 11:29 AM by .Stripes.

I didn't go the edfc, would have pushed them beyond my budget.Few street circuit events, speed dome, plex circuits, and barbagallo.I'd keep fronts 4 'clicks' harder than the rears, remember I had the heavy nosed xr8, usually 6-10 for r comps, and nearing 2-6 for slicks.Back end used to follow very nicely Street Tyres - hard setting and slide everywhere

Supercars will NOT fit my 2007 Typhoon because of the Brembos - I am told. He said XA's are ok and fitment is $495 with the parts around 2k.I'm now reading up on the Teins with EDFC.@Tocchi - how many years have you had the EDFC installed and have you had ANY issues at all. I'm just concerned of more electronics - more potential problems. Ballpark do you remember what they set you back...? Fronts are accessible from the engine bay and rears can be reached by reaching up between the control blade and body. You will find you'll find a settingb you like and leave it at that. I'm going to find out how much for EDFC action and probably decide between it and just the Tein non-EDFC option. Would be cool to be able to control damping from inside the cabin. MADF6 Member 399 Member For: 16y 11m 11d Posted 09/06/15 12:41 PM Author Share Posted 09/06/15 12:41 PM I've read that the radiator overflow needs to be loosened or removed when manually adjusting the Teins...? Also that the Teins aren't as suited for very low rides, whatever that means. Can anyone shed any light...?
Ralph Wiggum Moar Powar Babeh Lifetime Members 19,323 Member For: 19y 3m 11d Gender: Male Location: Perth Posted 09/06/15 12:46 PM Share Posted 09/06/15 12:46 PM From memory the Teins use a fairly short from shock so the top hat is quite deep hence you need to remove the overflow bottle to get the allen key in there. They won't go as low because they don't have a base hieght adjuster, the hieght is adjusted by increasing or decreasing preload on the spring.Pedders and XYZ's have a fully threaded body, which threads into the clevis for the lower are mount allowing you to increase of decrease the overall hieght without touching preload, this also means you maintain travel.'You can see the bas hieght adjuster in the pics below (not a falcon set but same/same) in the picture of the tiens notice the top of the shock is set quite low in the hat compared to the pedders where is protrudes through the top. Both setups use a preload adjuster on the rear to adjust height (or adjustable spring seat if you prefer) but the pedder/xyz also allow you to adjust the length of the shock to maintain fully travel.
