I have a 1/2" and 3/8" snap on

I bought a small 2-20nm torque wrench from supercheap when it was on special. Got it home, cut open the packet and fitted the appropriate socket for the turbo's compressor wheel then found out it doesn't do reverse threads! It had it written in minuscule writing on the wrenches shaft, not on the package as that would be to easy farking...

My 40-fck knows nm torque wrench is slightly big at early a meter long...courtesy of the Army of course! Shop Army shop S Army.... Doesn't have the same ring to it as S-Mart.

Get 'em secondhand, but nearly new.

This sort of thing is rare to find in Australia, but easy to find in the US. Postage is expensive for one on its own, but if you make a shopping list of things and buy them over a couple of months then it works out cheaper-per-item if you have it all sent to Shipito.

Other things to consider while you’re at it - do a search on Amazon for each one:

- Oil filters - Mobil 1 M1-206 or Motorcraft FL820S

(both very good oil filters)

- Brake pads - Hawk Performance ceramic pads if you’ve got Brembo calipers.

- Ampro T29771 1/2-Inch Drive Standard Extendable Ratchet

(the extendable ratchet is great for loosening tight bolts)

(great for removing/fitting oil filters)

- Bondhus - L-wrench - Ball End, Extra Long, 10mm - 16076

(an extremely long allen key, which is useful for loosening the fill bolt on BF and FG diffs)

- Stanley 97-126 11 Piece 1/2-Inch Drive Metric Deep Impact Socket Set

(well priced set of impact sockets)

- Russell 639560 Speed Bleeder

(they make flushing/bleeding brakes so much easier)

- An SSD and some RAM for your computer.

- Books & DVDs that you can’t get here.

As a lot of people have said storage and handling are critical. Im so anal that if Im halfway through torqueing something say the 6mm bolts usually found on the outside of a bike cylinder that have the same torque as the rocker cover bolts, I will finish the cylinder then unwind my wrench and go to lunch or whatever I need to do then come back and reset my wrench to the previous setting and finish the rest of the motor. When other people at my work need to borrow mine I will torque the bolts for them as I don't trust them with it lol everything else tool wise is fine but only I use my wrenches

So on the weekend I scored a mint 1/2" drive snap-on digital for a crazy price. Does 16nm up to around 340 with the flexible head. Very happy with my purchase and have already done the exhaust mani bolts up to 53nm. To say they were lose use an understatement!!

ATECH3FR250A. Got it for $380 cash and its literally brand new! I seriously don't think its ever come out of the case. Even the case is immac

Yep, that's the same one that I've got. Useful gadget.

Got mine a bit cheaper via eBay US, but the exchange rate was better at the time.
