I've just been failed rego because I replaced my my spoiler boot for an XT with Force 6 lip one 6 months ago. Happy with the result. Apparently it's the law to have a high level brake light. So when I now buy a rear parcel shelf high level brake light, is there a plug in the loom under the parcel shelf somewhere for me to plug it into? I can't imagine Ford produced 2 looms for spoiler/parcel shelf brake lights.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Matt

Yes that is right. Your XT should already have a high level brake light, parcel shelf.

You dont need to run both rear high level brake light E.G wing/parcel

On my old BA XR6 it was the rear wing and the parcel was turn off.

Instead of buying the parcel shelf from ford or a wreckers with a break light fitted, have a look at some of the after market ones that attach to the glass coz may be cheaper

As far as the loom goes, no idea sorry

Theres a thread somewhere...no need to buy new shelf....theres a template and you just cut your existing shelf.

New brake lights only like $50ish bux...and as pixy said 99% sure the loom is there already
