Those that did first up (myself included) quickly work out how deficient the car is with taxi brakes. Granted not everybody does the odd track day sprint but...no point going more mumbo if you don't pick up other areas in my opinion. Throw into the mix the dodgy factory ZF cooler, crappy oil feed setup to turbo plus pathetic rear diff bushes, and you start to get a picture of stuff (post warranty if you choose) that you'll need to seriously look at.But, persevere and address this things and you'll end up with a truly awesome car. I'm concentrating more on reliability improvements now such as adding an engine oil cooler, head studs, oil pump gears and eventually ZF rebuild. Had the ZF rebuild done too which was good but I'd waited too long to do it and was putting up with flaring (actually refused to change 3rd to 4th under WOT) for aaaaaaages. Tuner wasn't impressed at the state of the box internally.Peace of mind mods worth every penny: PWR ZF heat exchangerFixed...Goddamn typo, I sicken myself. XRSEXT Member 235 Member For: 12y 3m 20d Gender: Male Posted 28/05/15 10:08 PM Share Posted 28/05/15 10:08 PM I think ive done about everything possible to my xr6 lol (apart from building a forged motor) and upgraded brakes (doing in next few weeks) but the best modification ive done so far is strengthening the rear end. Independent motorsport twin diff bush setup, Diff Tekniks 1400HP CV's and the Eaton Trutrac, completely transformed the car it feels as though its really getting the power down to the wheels now with no sloppyness

Also could have been the extra 8psi.2. Going from monza cooler and stock intake to turbo side intake, and rapid cooler with 3" piping. Brought the boost in much harder and stronger even if I did only go up 20rwkw it so. 3. Extreme twin plate ceramic clutch.
