For those that have had their 'addiction' for several years and have done a reasonable amount of modifications, I thought it might be timely and informative to 'rate' your mods and maybe list what you'd do different time over.

With my car, I think my best modifications are the Brembo + PBR upgrade, PWR ZF cooler (given the constant milkshake worry) valve springs and GTX3576R.

What would I do different? Tough one, but I'd go a bigger intercooler straight up, full exhaust instead of the double hit with the hi-flow cat then upgrade, debatable whether I'd go turbo side again and go the bigger injectors straight up instead of doing the F6 ones then ID1000's

Look, plenty do stuff twice and I'll admit you get sucked in thinking you need the biggest and best of everything to extract reliable power out of these things. The reality is, you don't.

My best mods were the GTX3582r turbo with 3& 1/2 " exhaust and I did every single bush in the car with superpro plus XYZ coilovers with the white line sway bars front and rear I think they were my single most favourite mods so far..... ID 1000's and big intercooler, surge tank CAI ,bigger fuel pump ,felt like they were nessesary to back the big mods I guess ....

LPG, Coilovers and slotted rotors with decent pads.

Those things are noticeable every single time I get in the car.

Handling and braking are the two things that made the car feel "right" to me - how it should have felt when it left the factory.

If I had my time again those two would be done on the way home from the car yard ;)

LPG - no longer even think about the cost when filling up. Am sure I've not even come close to recouping the cost of having it fitted (I will eventually), but the peace of mind more than makes up the difference.

Yep, they are so under braked standard. I get the lure of power up first - I did the same. But, first track day and watching from the pits like 5 laps in, made me realise how far from perfect it was as a package.

What I like:

4 pot brembos -- my reflexes aren't the best (brain to foot wise) so the big brakes stop 500 horsies no probs

The gtx...76 (I honestly reckon that the tune I have gives less lag than the standard gt), should have fitted it in the first round of mods..... love it

The PW stepped cooler seems fine and I love the - no cutting my car up to make a cooler fit - idea but I am getting stigmta to build me a stepped tube and fin

Boost Gauge..Every modded turbo should have 1

Don't like:

Nizpoo exhaust - valve doesn't close properly and the v-bands are NOT good quality. Thinking of getting something else fitted but dont know what

The rear Koni red shocks are quite hard but it says they're adjustable so I might ring Jet and see if we can soften them up a bit. I should of gone the coilovers that Rab mentioned above

The best thing I got mods wise was this12d8595f03f83a8632afb41b3d963eb7.jpg10 out of 10. Cheers jon (jonny tig / stimata) best thing on the car. Its a work of art and not only does it cool amazing it look tough also his turbo side is second to none.

As for the little gtxe5c46aa2d468635beebd896cc0b6d278.jpggreat little street turbo that would catch a few people by suprise. Once I can get it running 100% it still amazed some people that have come for a ride.

The only things I would change would be the whole fuel setup if I was going to do it again. Would have gone all out for peace of mind at the start if I knew better. But its only money the bank has heaps of it. Lol

Secondly I wish I lived in nsw. Lack of tuners in adelaide that are really smashing out some amazing cars.

At the end of the day after everyone goes overboard with power mods that are great (to many at different stages and $$$ to list) The best mod to do is to invest in a better braking system.

You will need it many times over and is one of the most underated mods to these cars.

And you will need it sooner rather than later imo.

New bushes all round = Awesome and a must.

New brake discs = A must.

Camber arms for the rear = Awesome and a must (if really low).

HID kit = For the price of $40 bucks so that makes it worth it.

Coilovers = Good for me from the fact every single car I owned I have always had them for other people who want a soft ride no.

Tune = Mine isn't yet but even if its stock chuck in a set of injectors and just tune it as is, even then its a massive difference to stock.

Imo with these cars if I were to buy another one again it would be new bushes all round first then buy some injectors and a tune. Then go from there.
