I just destroyed my Hero3+ last week because the suction mount failed. When I replace it I'll be using a tether. And yes, mine was the genuine 150mph rated one! Used the suxtion mount at the drags, multiple recordings of roads, loaned it to mates to go snowboarding and surfing..It's never let go once. I got three of the little Bugga's now haha I have the go pro suction mount, never had any problems Have also used stuck to the bottom of a fibreglass boat while fishing, at anchor obviously...
