Posted 21/10/15 05:14 AM Share Posted 21/10/15 05:14 AM Did a comparison yesterday between the FG-X XR6 Turbo, G6E Turbo and the Mondeo MD Titanium 2.0T - which seems to be the top of the range you can get - and for the pricing - the Mondeo is listed at $44,290, the XR6T at $45,690 and the G6ET at $47,059 - you have to admit the current crop of Falcons bang for buck, have it all over their replacement - I believe the Mondeo is what Ford intend to replace the Falcons with? - considering the FG-X's are both 270Kw versus 177KW for the Mondeo, have a combined fuel consumption of only 3 litres more than the Mondeo and are pretty well appointed. It will be a sad day when the Falcon is finally retired.I did the comparison on Redbook.com.au

Cause there's gonna be a lot of people who want a performance car but want more room than whats in a Mustang.

Once the Falc and Commy are gone, the only options are the Thai made diesel sh*tboxes. I've owned nearly all of them and they are good cars / trucks - reliable, economical etc, but f*cking boring things to drive. Unless they grow a set and make a sportier version of, maybe a Ford Ranger with a miami V8? LS2 Colorado. I don't like my chances, but I can dream....
