I thought Aussie Expensive Daewoo was closing up shop too? (a few yrs after Ford?)......then people will be driving those stupid Malibu's and whatever GM stuff gets brought in (maybe they'll do Comaro to combat Mustang?).

And Expensive Daewoo as definitely dumb for not releasing the SV6 Turbo .... but perhaps they saw how it affected Fords V8 sales and didn't want to compromise their HS.V/SS sales in a similar way...

Well I'm not sure, I heard they've done a bit of a back flip and decided to throw money at Expensive Daewoo to stay in Aus. Not totally sure on that. However, they reckon we'll be getting all Opals here. Like Insignia's and stuff. Apparently they may be the new 'commodore'..... Hmm, no thanks.... I'll pass.

And they reckon they definitely wont be bring a camaro here and badging it. But they may bring the Corvette here, but they'll be expensive as hell.

Expensive Daewoo tried it with the blown 6 years ago in the VX models...wasn't all that popular.

Ahhh, the old L67. Yeah, did alright. Has zero value now, worth no more than a standard 3.8/3.6 is. Never drove one, but have been in one. They seemed ok. Nothing spectacular though.

Yeah, a mate of mine had the HSV version (XU6). I went in that, like you say...they were ok, but nothing to write home about.

Yeh cause they did it wrong and put a stupid sh*t tune in it (cause probs didn't research or want to spend $$$ to see how much more the engine/drivetrain/trans etc could take).

I think it was only like 20kw more than standard 6 or something? But then retune and they went ok..

Certainly can see myself in a Supercharged VFII HSV Wagon.

Yeah, depending on where I'm at with work and house etc by then, I'll probably be pretty keen on a factory blown senator before production finishes.

Yeah I've always had a soft spot for senator's mate. Or just wait a few years and pick up a grange for $30,000 ;D they don't hold their value at all haha.
