Will be a few more years yet.

I'll be sticking with wagons for as long as possible.

Don't do it phill. If you really want a wagon get a Mondeo, diesel version. sh*tty gearbox and annoying canbus electrical system are the only issues so far.

Put a Hybrid Camry on, it's a taxi. None of the drivers want Falcons anymore, if you want drivers you need Hybrids.

Its 60c on the central coast in most places

The central coast needs fuel, and a sh*tload of it! I can't believe how many commuters are driving to Sydney everyday for work. My soon to be brother in law was even suggesting he might try commuting to Sydney from near Toronto WTF.

The August 2015 motor mag has two interesting things.

Firstly Ford lodge trademark registrations for "XR6 Sprint", "XR6 Turbo Sprint" and "XR8 Sprint" on April 1 of all days.

Secondly a company called Premcar - formerly Prodrive Australia - are apparently buying ex-Police XR6 Turbo's, adding a revised intake, free flowing exhaust, tweaking the engine calibration, so they now produce 320kW and 700NM, got together with Shockworks for an adjustable suspension and changed the wheels and tyres. As the cop cars have bigger oil coolers and Brembo's they don't do much else to the cars and sell them for $35K - $40K including the cost of the car.

It will be interesting to see if Ford react to the 340kW V8 offerings by Expensive Daewoo in the series 2 now. I am going to be looking for a new company ute around the middle of next year so I'm hoping the turbo "Sprint" will at least be somewhat of a match in both specifications and price to the Bogan special Redline which is listed around $57k on the road.

Knowing Ford, they won't do anything because they pretty much abandoned the market with respect to Falcons about 2 years ago.
