Have owneda Rover, a couple of Honda's, two Mitsubishi's and a mod'ed WRX (currentcar). I'm now in the process of choosing colours, trim and options.Have decided on the following :XR6T auto, plated 2004Mercury-SilverPremium SoundAlarm UpgradeMatsFlapsTowbarWindow TintingUnder my lease I can get the above for approx $41500 inclusive of on roads,25000km petrol, insurance and servicing. An absolutely great price I think !!Am wondering about the 18" wheels ... are they worth the $1500 extra ??Is the ride noticeably firmer ???What other options do people think worthwhile ?? I will be selling the carin 12 months and upgrading to another new car so am looking at resalevalue so don't really want options that I won't get back on resale ...Thanx in advance,Cary Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/9052-im-a-newbie-about-to-get-my-first-t/ Share on other sites

I have changed a few cars over after leases and I believe that you will not get the money back that you spend on a bunch of options. I have the theory that the options list is the nice bits you want and have not direct effect on the resale value. Apart form maybe premium sound. My 2cents worth.Oh by the way Quick will someone save Cary from the dredded team HgAg Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/9052-im-a-newbie-about-to-get-my-first-t/#findComment-91960 Share on other sites

I was originally looking at AcidRush but was told is wasn't available anymore. Was also looking at Blueprint and Phantom but decided on HgAg as it was understatedand elegant and everybody like's silver don't they ?????Yeah, am tossing about what options to get considering I'll only haveit for 12 months. 18" wheels are nice but I guess I won't anywherenear that amount back from them. The towbar I got as it's practical, ditto with the window tinting. The mats and flaps protect it so I thought they'd also be worth it. The premium sound is a must I thinkas it has to be fitted at the factory rather than the dealer ? Do you really wish to join a group of old men wearing woolly cardigans, as is reknowned for all HgAg drivers ?Come on, go for a more vibrant color, you won't regret it.Oh and by the way, Welcome to the forum. Guest somers Guests Posted 11/02/04 04:13 AM Share Posted 11/02/04 04:13 AM Welcome,Al I can say is that Harvest Green is one of the best colours available. As I lease most of my vehicles as far as options go the premium sound is a must and also consider the electric adjustable pedals as it will be a good selling point for anyone wanting to get a good driving position............ If I liked any other color, then I wouldn't be driving a blueprint. Quote you've should see some of the things theWRX forum said about me wanting to defect to an XR6Just think of how jealous they will be, when they see you driving a new XR6T (regardless of the color)I'm sure we will forgive you on the color as soon as you post some pics when you get your new beast. I'm sure you will enjoy it.
