I think you have an aftermarket alarm or immobiliser installed...

And that button will be a reset or backup or some other strange operation

Pull the lower part of the dash off and trace that button, might find another fuse somewhere

Yeah I'll have a go tomorrow and leave the battery on trickle charge overnight.

Wilko are you sure about the 30-50 (0.03-0.05 amps)milliamps or is it 300-500 (0.3-0.5 amps) milliamps draw?

Because I have about 300 milliamps (0.3 amps) draw.

Well a 400ma current being drawn is the same as a 5w globe glowing constantly

Should be aiming for less than 0.1amp (100 milliamps)

I'll go out and test my car and see what I get

Did you trace that little red button yet ?

Thanks mate your a champ!

No I didn't trace the button yet, I've had the battery on a trickle charge for the last 24hrs.

I will wait until the battery is back to full strength then get stuck into it.

On nightshifts atm.

My plan is to trace the red button wires and find out what that alarm inside the car is connected to, will do it sometime this week.

Thanks again Wilko
