That's generally a sign the backup battery in the alarm is dicked.

Yep it's up behind the brake booster mounted upside down underneath a panel.

Mine does have a sticker on the back but it's unreadable.

It also looks like it plugs into what looks like a factory wiring harness, that's why I asked the question.

I'm not sure weather to rule it out or not.

Like I mentioned in my original post, since I got the replacement car battery I left the alarm siren off.

Yes mine also died off after a bit when I disconnected the car battery.

But I've got a temporary replacement backup battery for the alarm but haven't tried it on the car yet.

I don't want to piss the neighbourhood off again.

My feeling is that the alarm went off because it sensed the battery voltage had dropped below a certain level but that's just a wild guess.

This is the alarm.08e657f4bc4b476c147d2d11d9103deb.jpg

Ignore the White battery coming out the back as it's just a temporary solution, the original battery is much smaller.

Only really one way to tackle it mate. Start in the engine bay fuse box and start pulling fuses till you loose the current draw.

I'm wondering if the high pitched alarm you heard when the battery was flat was a relay in the bem buzzing due to low voltage?

No it wasn't a buzzing, I'm 99% sure it's an alarm with a constant tone.

I've already pulled all of the fuses as suggested by Wilko.

While we're comparing stuff, have any of you guys got this red button in your Typhoon?

It's down below the fuse panel on the kick panel.

It has wires connected and when this interior audible alarm goes off it changes the pitch of the tone.

Other than that I've never been able to figure out what it does.
