I used one on my last build ,but will refuse to fit one this time . the gasket only lasted about 5,000 klm and it started to let go .ps there was no gasket between the ba one or the fg one so why I ever used one got no idea

Yeah factory didnt use one but manifolds and flanges can warp after enough heat cycles and some supply them with turbos.

Basically just wanted to see how many ppl were using them and if they were how long they lasted.

Seems the best way to go is to not use one.

Plenty of flange gaskets out there. Doing a turbo swap for one that ran out of lube and bearings and thought I would try something a little different and bought a Mambatek gtx 35/82r for the old

test mule and see how it goes. It came with the flange gasket in the kit hence the questions about them but everyone else seems to have other things on their mind like lube ect, Lol

Sorry to crash this thread, but have you had much luck with the mamba 3582r? I understand the owner of mambatek was one of the guys behind kinugawa and I've had a good run with kando turbos on jap imports in the past (rb25s/ sr20s etc)

On paper the mamba turbos look half decent with twin ceramic ball bearings etc.... How do these things stack up against it's garrett cousin??
