When fitting up a new turbo and the old setup was not using a gasket between turbo and manifold, Are you guys putting this flange gasket in or not using it?

Or if fitted is it doomed to fail ?

Cheers

UUMMMM so no one has refitted turbos in the last 12/24 months and has any feedback to whether or not a turbo flange gasket should be used considering Ford did not.

I just dont want to fit one if it is going to fail in a short amount of time.

NHASP, No Durex, no Ansel, just the snip!!!

Best investment. And score brownie points cause the partner no longer needs to worry about taking the daily medication.

Vasoline can still be used if need be, but KY gel does a better job. :D

How long would the gasket last? 100,000kms?

If Ford never had one from factory, would you be forced to use ebay jobbies?

Plenty of flange gaskets out there. Doing a turbo swap for one that ran out of lube and bearings and thought I would try something a little different and bought a Mambatek gtx 35/82r for the old

test mule and see how it goes. It came with the flange gasket in the kit hence the questions about them but everyone else seems to have other things on their mind like lube ect, Lol
