I’m a novice when it comes to turbo stuff. I managed to get the workshop invoice. The work was done in August 2012.Questions:1)Critique and analyse this. Tell what’s right and wrong with this setup. 2)The car is in NSW - is this something that is suitable to drive the 4,000km back to Perth? Flying over and driving it back is cheaper than freighting it.3)Any suggestions on how to get this through a licencing inspection if I buy it and get it back to Perth?4)I showed the invoice to Simon at XFT this afternoon. He pointed out that there was no mention of a wastegate or actuator. I know nothing about these things - how do I know if this car has one?Invoice Details:1x Plazmaman Pro Series 1000hp intercooler, inlet plenum, revised piping and custom under headlight cold air intake. Way cheaper than the last time I checked - it used to be $1700 and at least a six week wait. In recent years, it's been all about stuff coming to Perth. Moving stuff from Perth to east has been extremely cheap, but from east to Perth has been extremely expensive. The mining boom is definitely over.Looks like freighting is is now viable - as appealing as cruising across the Nullabor at 200km/h is, I'm a tad nervous about such a highly tuned engine failing and stranding me somewhere. You'll be up for a return to stock project or an engineering project. Either way time/dollar intensive.

Turns out that there's no way of really knowing which stuff is standard and which isn't.The fuel pump - apparently a lot of old cars had external fuel pumps. There's no way of knowing if the cat isn't a standard one.The Plazaman intercooler - the car already had an intercooler, so that's just an aftermarket replacement. The plenum might be a problem. Need to work out how to make it look standard for a few minutes.I like the idea of 100% legit legal, so will look into getting engineering permits later on. But for now it's a matter of finding an inspector who's a bit vague about knowing what's manufacturer standard and what isn't.
