How did you know my name donald duck? :P

I guess I need to double check with someone with a plaz cooler to see if theirs gets hot. Biz not included cause has stupidly big cooler ;)

I'll have to do more research on what features of coolers are most important....has to be a reason why people/tuners say PW is better I.e. maybe hot pipes don't matter?

Sorry OP for the spam :P

Was your old tune with stock cooler or PW one? Happened to know what sort of duty cycle the injectors were at? Or NFI?

I was told the injectors were at 88% duty cycle. And the tune was on stock cooler. I don't mind the spam it's all an interesting read haha. Yea was very keen to go a stage 2 but then kev and joe said no need so stuck with 1 :) if I was gonna cut would have gone a 3 I think. Oh my mates r34 gtr piping is always hot but he seems to suffer no power loss and he has a great big nismo cooler. I know different car but coolers and plumbing are coolers and plumbing haha. Just out of curiosity is there a reason you were curious to see if my car had a previous tune :)

Thanks for the info bud! Sounds interesting about your mates piping running hot but no power loss....might be some truth in there. (Wish I could afford a r34 GTR lol)

And yeah...was picking your brain for info...I have a fg turbo and just bought f6 injectors (getting them flow tested/cleaned, etc)...and read many different things saying supports anywhere from 290-330rwkw. Judging by your experience I'd say I'll prob only hit the 290ish figure (I think Monsta Torque in WA have a relatively harsh dyno?)...but yeah apparently shouldn't go more than 90% DC...so I assume the people saying 320+ are either maxing the injectors or are using 'happy' dynos?

And yeah...if I'm expecting low 290-300 then the fg f6 cooler might be sufficient enough for me. I just want a cheap BFYB tune for now, while I save up for a proper stage 2 down the track (gtx, cooler, exhaust, blah blah).

Anyways....that's enough blabing on my end :P

Haha yea thts fe bud :) tht simple

Tune will keep you happy for a while but my advice will be save up do it all at once and save money only an opinion as if I had my time over would do it all at once but ul

Still enjoy it :) oh and about the r34 gtr I was driving it for about a year straight coz my mate had no licence let me tell you great car handling wise plenty of grip and ford can't compete on that front but straight line speed and comfort id prefer my f6 tbh feels like it builds torque easier etc. If the gtr was cheaper may have got one but I'm not paying over 50k for a 12 year old plus car ppl

Seem to forget gtrs are no exception to the rule of an older car requiring maintenance I use to have a 33 with 450 at the wheels when something broke it also broke my bank account no joke haha and ambient temp at time

Of tuning was 17.7 degrees so quite cool
