Hi guys have u came across this?? I own fg mk2 turbo . Standrad tyres and wheels make 285rwkw to 300rwkw, 285 constant all times as f6 cooler get hot drop power. Now problem is I upgrade to 20 inch wheels and tyres rear 275/30/20 with achiles and I upgrade process west stage 1 cooler and put back on dyno and is showing less power, 278rwkw. Loss like 20 kw. Tuner say is coz wide tyrres and they sticky. He say dyno just read low bt u havent loss and power. I was hoping to crack 300wkw. Bt nw dats happen?? Any ideas or similar experience???

Even if the tyres gripped the rollers the same, I've read that a diameter change like that will affect the power output reading.

Better way would be 1/4 mile trap speeds I think?

Or hub dyno, but too late to do a before and after anyway without paying more for the privilege.

I check with befre hub dyno without upgrading wheels and cooler was a minor diff in power, roller dyno show 285kwand hub shows 288kw. May be I try to put on hub dyno again c wats diff?? Wat my ques is did I loss power in real time or gain??

Yes, that picture seems to confirm the lower the rim size, the faster 0-60mph time was achieved (only slightly faster like 0.1 - 0.3 seconds lol)

But I have heard dyno figures can be slightly lower, when you use bigger rims.

And no re tune necessary for rim change LOL.....but you may have to pay for another dyno run if you want to see another power figure?

18s will have a higher profile tyre and usually a little better grip....that is why I stayed with 18s (but sometimes wish I had 19s cause looks better)
