I used to sell car hi fi and the Premium gear is very good value. The real question is do you really need better audio? if you do then you need a car with better sound deadening. The ambient noise in the Falcon negates better audio in my view and fitting better gear really is out of the question. The car is for driving and if you want better audion spend yuor money at home: any more spent is largely academic unless you plan to join the decebel vandals, hell bent on ruining my music at the lights with their "doof doof" crap.with 11 speakers and 150 watts including a sub, what else do you really need? cvanxr Member 502 Member For: 22y 2m 13d Location: Country NSW Posted 16/02/03 09:49 PM Share Posted 16/02/03 09:49 PM They said at this stage you can only purchase sound through Ford. If you really want quality aftermarket sound it would have to be put in the glove box or the boot. Then mount the detatchable face panel somewhere accessable to use as a remote. There is no room for the unit to go where the radio is because of all wiring, a/c pipes etc. Went on to say that Ford did same thing with the Tauras? in the states, but being a much bigger market a new mountable faceplate was manufactered by aftermarket guys. They said the Australian market was to small for this to happen. Only time will tell I suppose. Also talked about aftermarket company's were thinking about rejigging an American Ad campaign to hit back. Expensive Daewoo as with other manufacturers have not really said if they will go the same way as Ford with future models.

Guest xygtho3 Guests Posted 20/02/03 07:19 AM Share Posted 20/02/03 07:19 AM I believe the tissue box holder can be removed and makes way for a 1 DIN unit if you want to add an MP3 player (or something like that- I am no audio buff) There is supposed to be another accessory socket behind there that plugs into the system if you want an add-on.
