Dave, are your intanks (Walbro & 1000hp ones) guaranteed to prevent surge? Even at really low figures I.e. 20km DTE?

Or is it still advised not to 'trash' it with less than 1/4 tank?

Thanks!

Yes 100%.

All Streetfighter systems have been on 100s cars now for over 3 years.

We have had not 1 surge issue ever reported back to us.

The reason for this is that they a a properly engineered product that has been fully desihned and therafter tested for , flow volume, anti surge and correct system pressures.

Unlike a surge tank it is a complex design that allows perfect manners.

Not recommended however on testing, we raced a car around Malalla race track with less than 5 litres in the tank . No surge and the fuel pressure remained perfect until we ran out of fuel on the third lap.

Assuming you just change the in tank pump to a much higher flowing one, will you need a retune?...(assuming you're keeping the stock regulator)

Just want to know if I should be upgrading the pump at the same time as the injectors.

It should be fine I would think as the pressure would only be more consistent with a stronger pump. Re what happens in the top end from a tune that's trying to work around falling fuel pressure, it might run a tad rich, but it should be fine. This is all assuming that the reg is swaped to match the pump flow

hi just wondering would I need to re-tune after installing the walbro? its on 370rwkw and sometimes surge now

thanks

if fuel pressure remains the same and your car wasn't previously tuned trying to band aid a poor fuel system, then this system shouldn't need a retune. However, id recommend getting it on a dyno just incase.

Does this no surge recommendation differ for ba/f to fg?

As in the bf sedans the swirl pot doesnt sit very low in the tank
